On August 4, 2021, the General Administration of Customs took emergency preventive measures against a Mauritanian company, due to the positive nucleic acid test of SARS-Cov-2 in 2 samples of a batch of frozen conch meat from Mauritania. The national customs suspended the acceptance of Mauritanian seafood manufacturer Santamar Peche (Registered number: 2.037) import declaration for 1 week from August 4. Product declaration will resume automatically after expiration.
